Lori Gradley: The most Influential Woman Empowering Minds and Transforming Lives-2026

A grim stillness settles over a valley when it is on fire. There is no peaceful quite but the silence of held breath, of neighbours checking on neighbours, of families packing a single bag and walking away from everything else. In August of 2026, that silence fell over British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, one of Canada’s most cherished regions, as the Bald Range wildfire tore across the hillsides above Okanagan Lake, forcing more than twenty thousand people from Summerland, Peachland, and the surrounding communities to flee for their lives. Homes were reduced to embers. Vineyards that had taken generations to cultivate were scorched in hours. And somewhere far from the smoke, in Ontario, a woman named Lori Gradley sat down at her desk and began to write.

She wasn’t a resident of the Okanagan. She had no property in the path of the flames, no family members among the evacuees. But Lori Gradley has spent more than thirty five years of her life studying one subject above all others. How the human mind survives what should be unsurvivable. And when she saw the images of the Okanagan burning, she felt compelled to respond not as a spectator, but as someone who understood, on a cellular level, what it means to be broken open by circumstance and to have to choose, in that moment, who you are going to become.

The result was a piece of writing titled “Resilience in the Face of Adversity — The Power of Love and the Strength of People,” published on her platform, Splendid Inspiration. It was penned down for the beautiful people of the Okanagan Valley, an offering of solidarity to a community she had never met, but whose pain she recognized instantly. To understand why that story resonated so deeply with readers around the world, and why a quiet act of courage sparked a global wave of connection, you have to look deeper. Past the milestones, past the success, past the accolades, to the very beginning of Lori Gradley’s own journey through the crucible of human struggle and quiet endurance.

A Childhood Under the Spotlight

Long before she was coaching CEOs and mothers and grieving families through crisis, Lori Gradley was a teenager under stage lights. While still in school, she launched into a modelling career that carried her through runway shows, print campaigns, film work, and television commercials. She choreographed and coordinated fashion shows in shopping malls, learning early on the discipline of performance. The idea that composure, on the outside, is something that can be built, rehearsed, and mastered, even when the inside feels anything but composed.

That early exposure to the entertainment world led her to a full time position at CHCH TV in Ontario, where she worked alongside the director and producer of the long running children’s program Tiny Talent Time. It was an unlikely training ground for a future author and international speaker, but it planted seeds that would define her entire career. An instinct for storytelling, an understanding of what makes an audience lean in, and a growing fascination with the psychology of confidence.

That fascination deepened when Lori began teaching modelling and self improvement classes at a Miss Canada modelling studio, mentoring teenage girls on poise, presentation, and most importantly to her, the inner belief system that has to exist beneath any outward polish. It was here, coaching young women who often walked in doubting themselves and walked out standing taller, that Lori first understood a truth she would spend the rest of her life teaching. Real beauty, real strength, and real success all begin in the mind before they ever show up anywhere else.

The Collision That Changed Everything

Every transformative figure has a hinge point in their story, a single moment where the life they were living ends, and the life they were meant to live begins. For Lori Gradley, that moment arrived in the form of a severe head on collision that nearly took her life.

She has described, with striking honesty, what followed. Weeks of being bedridden, a lengthy and difficult recovery, and a period she has called one of profound hopelessness. It is the part of her story she never glosses over, because it is the part that gave everything else its meaning. Lying in a hospital bed, unable to move through the world the way she once had, Lori was forced to confront not only her physical injuries but the mental and emotional patterns she had been carrying long before the crash. Old fears, limiting beliefs, and a negative internal narrative she hadn’t even realized was running the show.

Rather than let that period define her as a victim, Lori made a decision that would alter the entire trajectory of her life. She would learn to retrain her mind the way a physiotherapist retrains a damaged limb. She began immersing herself in the emerging science of mindset and neuroscience based personal development, testing techniques on herself before she ever taught them to another living soul. Slowly, the fog lifted. The fear loosened its grip. And in its place came a new sense of confidence, calm, and control. Proof that circumstances do not have the final say over a person’s life. Thoughts do.

It is this exact philosophy, tempered in her own hospital bed decades ago, that would later become the backbone of everything she built.

Building an Empire on Sales Floors and Stages

Recovery gave Lori Gradley purpose, but it was her natural instinct for business that gave that purpose a structure. In her midtwenties, she began working with an international personal development company, training teams across North America and coaching individuals through live seminars. It was an intense, hands on education in what actually moves people from stagnation to action. Those years in front of live audiences, reading a room and adjusting her message in real time, built a foundation that no textbook could have offered.

From there, Lori’s entrepreneurial instincts expanded well beyond the personal development space. Today, she is regarded as a top sales producer and operates a multi million dollar property management company, running it alongside her passion driven wellness ventures. It’s an unusual pairing on paper, hard edged property management and soft focused mindset coaching. But for Lori, the two have always spoken the same language. Both require reading people accurately. Both demand resilience when deals collapse or clients falter. And both, she has said, taught her that success is never a straight line. It’s a series of course corrections powered by a stable, well trained mind.

The Birth of Splendid Inspiration

Out of that combination of hard won personal healing and decades of business acumen, Splendid Inspiration was born. It is an international wellness company built to help people, primarily women, find clarity, confidence, and calm in lives that too often feel like they are moving faster than anyone can process. Through the company, Lori offers one on one life coaching, a suite of online personal development courses, and a growing library of inspirational content, all rooted in the same mental tools that once pulled her out of her own darkest chapter.

Her course catalogue reads like a menu of the exact struggles she once faced herself. A mindset masterclass built around reframing negative thinking. A stress reset program designed for people who feel perpetually overwhelmed. A goal clarity course grounded in the actual science of achievement, and a wealth mindset program aimed at helping people escape financial anxiety and step into abundance. Nothing about the curriculum is abstract or vague. Every module traces back to a real moment in Lori’s own life where she needed exactly that tool and had to build it from scratch because no one had handed it to her.

As the personal development industry shifted from in person ballrooms and seminar halls to digital platforms, Lori adapted right alongside it, transforming Splendid Inspiration into a company with genuine global reach. Clients now find her not just in Ontario, but across Australia, Portugal, and beyond. CEOs, busy parents, and everyone in between, unified by the same desire to dig beneath the surface and access their fuller capability.

A Pen as Powerful as Her Presence

If coaching became Lori’s voice, writing became her legacy. In recent years, she has stepped fully into her role as an internationally published author, releasing her first book, How to Think & Succeed by Empowering Your Mind, a step by step roadmap designed to help readers dismantle the negative barriers holding them back and rebuild their self image from the inside out. The book has drawn five star reviews from around the world and, in 2025, earned Lori the prestigious Readers’ Favorite Gold Award in the Non Fiction Self Help category. It was a significant honour in an industry crowded with self help titles competing for attention.

She followed that success with Holistic Self Care for Women, a guide built specifically for women who feel depleted by the endless demands of modern life. The book pairs practical stress management strategies with a thirty day self care challenge, and it too has been recognized on the awards circuit, earning Gold Award status from the Moms’ Choice Awards, an organization that honours excellence in products and services for families internationally. Medical doctors, naturopaths, and therapists have lent their voices to both books’ reviews, praising Lori’s ability to translate decades of lived experience and scientific study into something genuinely usable for the average, overwhelmed reader.

Her writing hasn’t stopped at book covers. Lori has spent over a decade contributing inspirational articles to magazines and online publications around the world, and more recently, her personal story has been featured in a wave of international business and lifestyle publications, including a cover feature in Formidable Woman US Magazine exploring how she redefined holistic self care to help women live with purpose, as well as profiles in outlets covering visionary entrepreneurs and global business leaders. Her journey has also carried her onto national television, with an appearance on the talk show Daily Flash, and, most recently, onto one of the most symbolic stages in the world,  Times Square in New York City, where Lori was honoured with a spot on the Global Impact 100 List, an award presented by Forttuna Group International recognizing leaders creating meaningful change on a global scale.

When Success Meets Service

For all her accolades, the throughline in Lori Gradley’s career has never really been about the awards themselves. It’s about what she chooses to do with the platform they create. She has used her growing visibility to sponsor causes close to her heart, including an evening event in Toronto dedicated to raising awareness around domestic violence. The subject she has written about candidly, insisting that abuse does not discriminate by gender and that every victim deserves to be heard and believed.

That same instinct, to turn a spotlight outward rather than inward, is precisely what led her, in August of 2026, to write about the Okanagan Valley.

“Look for the People. You Will Always Find People Helping.”

By the time Lori sat down to write her Okanagan piece, the numbers coming out of British Columbia were staggering. The Bald Range wildfire, discovered near Okanagan Lake, had exploded from a small ignition into more than 130 square kilometres of scorched land within seventy two hours, prompting a provincewide state of emergency. Over twenty thousand residents of Summerland, Peachland, and the surrounding electoral areas were ordered out of their homes with little more than the time it takes to load a car. Roughly 150 structures were eventually lost. Tragically, an eighty year old woman lost her life during the evacuation. A stark reminder of how dangerous mass displacement can become even when the fire itself hasn’t reached a doorstep. Firefighting crews arrived from as far away as Mexico, Australia, France, and New Zealand to stand alongside more than 1,500 local firefighters working around the clock. While the Okanagan’s famed vineyards. responsible for roughly a fifth of Canada’s wine production, faced catastrophic losses that will likely ripple through the local economy for years.

It was against this backdrop that Lori wrote her letter, and what made it resonate wasn’t statistics, it was empathy delivered without pretense. She opened with her heart, addressing the piece directly to the people of the Okanagan Valley and extending her sorrow to everyone across Canada and the United States enduring similar tragedies that season. She reminded readers of a sentiment that has echoed through generations of disaster response. In the middle of devastation, if you look for the helpers, you will always find them, including ordinary people showing extraordinary courage for their neighbours.

What followed was a call to stand together not only for the people of the valley, but for its wildlife, its rivers, its forests, and for the land itself, which Lori Gradley described as more than scenery, but as a living, breathing part of the community. She acknowledged, without flinching, that the devastation could not be undone overnight. But she reframed the moment the way she has reframed every hardship in her own life. As a choice point. A choice to help a neighbour. A choice to protect the vulnerable. A choice to carry hope forward even when the path ahead is obscured by smoke.

She didn’t stop at sentiment. Lori directly urged her global readership to support the recovery through United Way British Columbia’s wildfire relief campaign, turning a message of comfort into a tangible call to action. Because for Lori, resilience without response is incomplete.

Perspective Forged from History

What distinguishes Lori’s Okanagan letter from a simple message of sympathy is the wider lens she brought to it. The same historical and psychological framing that runs through all of her work. She reminded readers that the human story is, in many ways, a long chronicle of catastrophe and recovery. Like The Great Depression, two world wars, terrorist attacks, earthquakes, a global pandemic that claimed millions of lives, hurricanes, and floods. Civilizations have absorbed blows that once seemed unsurvivable and have, time and again, found a way to stand back up.

She invited her readers to test this truth against their own memory. To recall exactly where they were and what they felt during a moment of collective tragedy, like the September 11th attacks, and then to notice how the world, battered as it was, continued forward. For Lori, this is not a dismissal of present pain. It is a reminder that the human mind and spirit have a demonstrated, historical capacity to endure what feels unendurable in the moment. That capacity, she insists, doesn’t discriminate by race, culture, status, or political belief. When the going gets hardest, people tend to rise for each other, because, as she put it plainly, everyone on this planet shares the same home.

It’s a message she closed with a nod to author and motivational figure David Goggins, whose reminder that resilience is ultimately a choice. A decision to rise above circumstance no matter how brutal. Mirrors almost exactly the philosophy Lori built her entire company around. From the ashes, she wrote, much like the mythical phoenix, hope has the capacity to rise and to conquer.

What Comes Next

Communities across the Okanagan are still working through the long, uneven process of recovery. Rebuilding homes, restoring vineyards, and, in many cases, simply learning how to feel safe again. Lori Gradley, for her part, continues doing what she has always done. Coaching clients from Ontario to Australia, releasing new content through Splendid Inspiration, and using all the platforms she is given to remind the world that mindset is not a luxury reserved for the comfortable. It is, as her own life has proven, the very tool that carries people through the fire and out the other side.

For Lori, the through line has never wavered. Whether she is coaching a CEO through a career crossroads, mentoring a teenager finding her voice, or writing to a valley in flames, her message remains the same. Circumstances may knock you down, but they do not get to decide who you become. That choice, as she has proven again and again, has always belonged to the person willing to rise.
